This week, we have been helping a number of guests get tickets for the upcoming After Hours Boo Bash at Walt Disney World. To say that it’s been a popular event is an understatement with 2-3 hour holds on the phone to purchase tickets. And, this is all before the event opens to the general public on June 15th! I expect that day to have long wait times on the guest services line.
So, what is this Boo Bash event and why is it so popular?
Well, it is a new event and after a long year of being locked in, many guests are excited to return to Disney for Halloween. Also, this year has many more dates than its predecessor, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so it promises to be a great time! Here’s some of the events planned for the evenings (From Disney’s Site):
Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade: Delight as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and pals—dressed in hauntingly boo-tiful Halloween costumes—parade through the park in this musical procession.
Disney Villain Halloween Cavalcade: Behold a legion of villains— unleashed to revel in this sinister season. Gaston leads the way, followed by fellow fiends like Dr. Facilier, the Queen of Hearts and Jafar, celebrating just how wonderful it is to be wicked.
Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade: Prepare for a procession worthy of the Pumpkin King! Jack Skellington—along with Sally and Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas—take to the streets to share thrilling, chilling tricks and treats!
And last (but definitely not least!), Maleficent will also make an appearance in the form of a fire-breathing dragon!
In addition, there is going to be plenty of sweets throughout the park available for purchase or giveaway as Disney looks to bring back the Trick or Treat trails they have hosted in the past. Of course, one will need to check the costume policy, but as goblins young and old can dress up and enjoy the treats with no tricks needed!
This plus the shorter lines that typically accompany the special events should make the nights truly special! If you think you might want to visit Disney any time between August and November to experience this awesome event, let’s get planning now before all the tickets are gone!
